Jordan Hayes

Jordan's artistic life is varied and deep. After growing up in Great Falls, MT, Jordan studied Violin Performance and Music Education, with additional voice studies, at the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. While there he was fortunate to study with some of the world's greatest musicians including Lynn Blakeslee, violin; and Louima Lilite, voice. After finishing his undergraduate studies, Jordan went on to complete a Master's in Ethnomusicology, specializing in Balinese music.

While in college, Jordan began seriously delving into photography. Initially Jordan explored landscape photography and advanced post-processing techniques such as HDR (high dynamic range) photography, and panoramic photography. Soon after, Jordan began designing lighting setups. Last year Jordan was fortunate to attend workshops by internationally recognized portrait photographers David "the strobist" Hobby, and Joe McNally. Jordan's goal for portrait photography is also highly influenced by the work of world-renowned photographer Dan Winters.

Recently Jordan moved to the Denver area from Rochester, NY to live close to the mountains and to play in one of the country's best Balinese gamelans named Gamelan Tunas Mekar. Jordan looks forward to providing his unique photographic sensibilities to people throughout Southern Wyoming and Colorado.
